    This is a waste of money.

    In the past final survey questions paid for by the Atherton Council were edited and approved by the city council. The wording of the questions and omission of some facts will influence results. Why not just call a town meeting sponsered by the League of Women voters and have each side present its view point with hand held electronic voting machines in the audience. About 150-200 people will likely show up.

    The council already has the opinion of 200 people from people who have signed petitions, written letters, and come to council meetings.
