Please note on the Library issue we can spend the 7-8 million on a building in the park or opt out of the JPA, and give the money to the 5 public schools in Atherton after remodeling the current library. There isn't money for both. Building or books you choose in November.

Attached are revised notices from the email sent yesterday. City Council will not be accepting any rebuttal arguments therefore that language has been removed from the notice.
Thank you,
Theresa

Subject: Elections Notice - Filing Arguments
There was some internal confusion regarding the ballot measure rebuttal arguments. I really dislike making things more confusing, but regrettably it happens.
I sent out notices this morning (3 times) for each measure which said no rebuttals will be allowed. After reviewing the tape of the Council meeting it was clear that rebuttal arguments were to be allowed.
Attached is the final notice.
My sincere apologies for any confusion. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 650-752-0504.

Colleen,
ReplyDeleteThe ballot measure is only about park/not park correct?
Is the option of remodel and give money to the public schools even in discussion?
If it is a real option, in today’s environment, it seems like a no brainer and a REAL discussion the council should be having even as opposed to the ballot measure.
Has there been confirmation that the split school option is real with these funds?
